It is an enchanted set of Forsworn armor and is one of the two rewards that can be obtained for completing the quest "No One Escapes Cidhna Mine."
The Armor of the Old Gods is a special version of Forsworn Armor given to you by Kaie for helping the leader of the Forsworn, Madanach, escape Cidhna Mine. Alongside the chest piece, this armor set also includes a pair of boots, gauntlets, and a helmet. This item shares its appearance with basic Forsworn equipment, weighs half as much, offers two fewer points of armor, and is considerably more valuable. The Armor of the Old Gods has also been enchanted to fortify destruction spells by fifteen points. Tempering this item requires a piece of leather and the Arcane Blacksmith perk.

Ancient God Slayer armor is a post-Moon Lord vanity set which consists of the Ancient God Slayer Helm, Ancient God Slayer Chestplate and Ancient God Slayer Leggings. The set is collectively dropped from the Sentinels of the Devourer at a 5% chance.
The Armor of the Old Gods is one of the best Light Armor sets in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, thanks to its high base armor rating and unique enchantments. Skyrim fans who relish stealth archer builds combined with magical spells will find great utility in this set. Visually, the Armor of the Old Gods is identical to the Forsworn armor set, garments that offer an appealing yet feral look for male and female users. To acquire this Light Armor gear in Skyrim, players will need to complete two prerequisite quests, both of which take place in the city of Markath.
Clearing later waves after wave one rewards the player with Defender Medals, a unique currency that can be used to purchase special weapons and armor from the Tavernkeep NPC. This gear is specifically suited for the event, due to its exceptional level of difficulty. Not only are its enemies extraordinarily resistant, it also employs numerous anti-cheat/exploit mechanisms, such as preventing the player from placing or removing blocks or liquids for its duration.
The Old One's Army event brings associated equipment. The armor and sentry weapons are available from the Tavernkeep in exchange for Defender Medals, while other weapons and accessories are dropped by event enemies. Though all of the equipment is coordinated with other equipment of the same class, the only specific benefit from this coordination is the buffs granted to each sentry by the corresponding armor set bonus; neither the weapons nor the accessories are involved in any additional unique bonuses, and so can be used with any other armor or exchanged for any other weapon at the player's preference.
Now, she looks great when she wears it; kind of a Sheenah, Queen of the Jungle vibe. However, even after I took the armor away from her and sold it three times, when I take my eyes off her and look back, there she is wearing the Armor of the Old Gods again. (We're married, so she may be going behind my back and buying the armor back from the vendor when I'm not looking.)
As much as it's cool to see her in her jungle garb, I'd much rather have her in armor that improves her carrying capacity and Armor rating rather than the one that improves Destruction spells (which she doesn't use).
Well, I took Aela home and left her there in favor of Mjoll. When I came back to the house to pick her up a couple of weeks later, she was in her old armor (but still had the good stuff, the Thieves Guild Armor). After I checked her inventory (and found she still had the Armor of the Old Gods), I brought her along and ever since, she's only worn the Thieves Guild Armor.
The Chantry teaches that when the Maker turned his back on spirits, some of them grew jealous of the living. Those powerful enough whispered to the living[2] in dreams claiming that they were the true gods, the creators of the world and the living should bow down before them. Eventually, the living summoned them through the Veil. In the mortal realm, these spirits took the form of dragons, winged Old Gods that ruled over the land.[3] The living started to worship them instead of the Maker, an act recognized as the "Original Sin". In fury, the Maker cursed the Old Gods, imprisoning them in underground tombs where they would slumber eternally.[3]
Some accounts suggest that the Old Gods began whispering to humanity from the Golden City in -2800 Ancient, three hundred years after the arrival of humans in Thedas. They taught magic unto the dreamers of the Neromenian tribes, and these dreamers became the priests and kings of their people.[4] Originally, the Neromenian tribes worshipped fallen heroes reborn as dragons, and with dreamers as their leaders, they began to instead worship the dreamers' gods, also as dragons.[5]
Light and quick on one's feet, light armor is the second type of armor in the world of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. While it's usually overlooked by most players as not being good enough due to its significantly lower armor rating, light armor does have its own perks.
Light armor in Skyrim is particularly good for players who want to remain agile and prefer playing sneaky or quick characters from range. With the right perks unlocked from the skill tree, the best light armor sets in Skyrim can be a real game-changer and also grant some incredible bonuses.
Updated January 4, 2023, by Ritwik Mitra: Skyrim is a game full to the brim with amazing equipment that players can either buy, loot, or trade to make their lives easier in this massive and unforgiving world. While many people might automatically gravitate towards heavy armor to make things easier for themselves in the game, the fact is that players can also use light armor to great effect in the game. The best light armor sets can be used to overpower opposition with ease and are well worth seeking out.
Fur armor, in terms of immersion, is probably the best-looking light armor in Skyrim. It definitely has Skyrim written all over it, but sadly it's among the weakest armors in the game. With upgrades, a set of fur armor can be improved to a degree.
Sometimes, the armor rating isn't the only thing that players should track in the game. Instead, it's the overall utility that any armor brings to the table, and Armor of the Old Gods definitely makes for a pretty useful piece of armor that players can use early on in their run.
The entire armor reduces the cost of destruction spells, improves sneaking, increases bow damage, and adds to the Dragonborn's magicka pool by 30 points. Suffice it to say, stealth archery and spell-casting become far more enjoyable and effective with this armor set.
For something truly unique, but still well within the theme of Skyrim's wilds, there's Forsworn armor. It's another armor set that's fairly easy to find even early on in the game, although it's generally not advised to challenge some of the Forsworn camps at lower levels due to Briarhearts.
Players who have the Dragonborn DLC installed might recognize this as the Chitin armor. However, the darker coloring on the face actually reveals it to be Morag Tong assassin attire, which can be looted from an assassin in Solstheim or found in Ashfallow Citadel.
It can't be crafted, but being fairly easy to find, it's one of the best light armor sets in Skyrim to add to any assassin character's build. The full set will grant the player an armor rating of 53.
One of the most basic and earliest light armor sets in Skyrim available, hide armor in Skyrim is extremely easy to find both in loot and at shops. It's also available for anyone to craft regardless of Smithing skill level, and requires leather, as well as leather strips.
This skin-tight armor set is granted to those who join the ranks of the Dark Brotherhood. It's usually enchanted with powerful boosts to abilities used by assassins and thieves alike. After the faction is joined, this set will appear pretty often and other variations become available as well.
This is among the most unique light armor sets in Skyrim. It can't be crafted, but it can eventually be upgraded with some moonstone ore. The Ancient Falmer Armor has a cool appearance that almost seems to combine an Ebony armor set and an Elven armor set.
To get this light armor set, the Dawnguard DLC must be installed and Arch-Curate Vyrthur has to be defeated during the quest Touching the Sky. Loot his corpse to find this lovely unique set, which totals to a 60 armor rating.
The Dawnguard DLC introduces players to a new faction that fights the rise of the Volkihar vampires. New recruits can choose between a heavy or a light armor set, the light one being a slightly modified version of the heavy one. It's easily available and simple to find, and can even be repurchased although it can't be crafted.
The full set of light armor will provide the player with an armor rating of 61, which makes it an average-tier light armor set in Skyrim. It's far from useless, but there are much better options out there for those who know where to look.
Another base game light armor, scaled armor is easy to find in loot or even on the corpses of most bandits. However, if finding it proves difficult, the player can also craft one provided their Smithing is at level 50 and they have the Advanced Armors perk unlocked.
The recipe calls for Corundum ingot, leather, leather strips, and steel ingot. Scaled armor, when wearing a full set, will grant the player an armor rating of roughly 64, making it a mid-tier light armor set when all's said and done.
There are some mild perks to joining the Imperial Legion, one of which is getting one's hands on the Imperial Light Armor set. This armor can be acquired pretty much instantly in the game as the Dragonborn escapes Helgen. It can also be crafted if the Steel Smithing perk is unlocked. 2ff7e9595c
