It is important to run the latest version of the upgrade-firmware-if-needed when a new release comes out. In spring of 2021, version 3.1 for CBS 250 and 350 switches was released, changing the Port Security default behavior. These changes were made to improve endpoint security.

Make sure the phone is on a supported firmware version. VVX phones on firmware lower than 5.9.4.3247, and SoundPoint IP phones on firmware lower than 4.0.15.1047 will not come online and will display Line Unregistered when provisioned to 8x8. If the device will not update from sub 4.0 to 4.0.15 using the method below. Try using the software upgrade option in Utilities from the menu on the phone's GUI. You must select the proper firmware from the dropdown list when using this method.

1. Your monitor does not already have firmware version 9.16 later. All monitors with firmware versions before 9.16 must be updated using the traditional update process. This will only be required once. After updating to firmware version 9.16 or later all future updates will be possible via the Mass Storage Update process.
Telzio enables you to use existing IP phones, but before you can configure your phones with Telzio, you may need to reinstall the software on the phone if it has been locked by the previous carrier.Important: Flashing a Polycom's firmware may remove the phone's factory certificate, which will cause the phone to be unable to connect to Polycom's ZTP service for auto provisioning.
By reinstalling the software on the IP phone, you will reset the phone back to its original factory settings. While on some phones you can simply hit a Factory Reset button, Polycom phones can be locked to a single vendor, making it necessary to completely reinstall the software. Reinstalling the software on an IP phone is often referred to as flashing the firmware.

NOTE: If you experience a red blinking LED after the firmware update of the HEOS HomeCinema you may need to restart your Heos HomeCinema.
